How it works – create, share, interact
Create your pitch
Building a pitch is as easy as filling out a Facebook profile. Simply pick a topic, fill in the blanks and add all the images, video or attachments you’d like. Be as creative as you’d like. It’s your story!
Share your pitch
Once you’ve clicked “publish” you can easily share your Pitch with your friends and followers through your social networks, email and other methods. You can even choose to distribute it to media and bloggers! While you’re doing that, we’ll be sharing it with major search engines so you can get found! (see the 24/7 international, searchable Pitchfeed).
Interact with PitchEngine
The cool thing about a Pitch is that it doesn’t quit once you’ve published it. That means your story remains editable and interactive for as long as you’re subscribed. Journalists, bloggers and other readers can direct-message you privately to ask questions or give suggestions.
PS: PitchEngine is not a wire service. It’s a platform for the New PR.

Background
PitchEngine was dreamed up by Jason Kintzler in 2008. As a former journalist turned PR guy, he realised that businesses and journalists needed a better alternative to email for exchanging information and assets for publication and print. This, coupled with insight from industry thought-leaders, led to the creation of a new kind of social PR platform. It also represented the beginning of the end of the “word doc PR” era.
Unlike traditional wire services, PitchEngine enabled users to openly create and share their own content, while including images, videos and attachments at no extra cost.
PitchEngine has quickly evolved into a modern publishing platform, enabling users to create social and search optimised content that is consumer-facing – like digital flyers, press releases, real estate listings and more.
In 2010, more than 100,000 pitches were shared by 30,000 organisations looking to get the word out to not just journalists, but to bloggers, consumers and other influencers as well.
PitchEngine’s “Co-op SEO” concept enables brands big and small to experience exceptional indexing in major search engines, while their social integration tools, like Newsroom for Facebook, continue to push the boundaries of industry norms.
