Tony
There are a lot of resources online for you to be able to market your business well without it costing you thousands of dollars. Although of course as the money rolls in you may well want to spend money to make money :). In the meantime, there are many excellent blogs where people share great information and don't charge you for it. Try wwww.ducttapemarketing.com www.bloombergmarketing.blogs.com www.flyteblog.com : you'll also find a bunch of excellent blogs at marketing.alltop.com Hope that helps!

Hi Everyone,
I have a carpet cleaning business in Houston,TX that was doing pretty good until the economy went bad, and with it my clientele. I have a website for the business but I dont
know what I have to do the get it to show up in a search. Right now it's somewhere in the yahoo/google netherworld (LOL).

Is there someone on here that can give me some insight or know of anyone that coud give me insight on how I can get my local website on the front
page of a Yahoo or Google search to increase my business without it costing me 5 or 10k $$$? If so please share with me.

I thank you and my hungry over-eating children thank you.

thanks,

Thanks for the review, I had no idea this book existed. I more or less jumped into managing an online community 10 months ago and could use a guide.

Totally agree on needing a thick skin, sense of humor, et al. I hope there is a section titled "No, you really don't need to be everyone's best friend."

Patrick
It was a pleasure to read and it is a great resource. I'm thinking, for example, of how useful the book will be for the next person, new to being admin of a forum, who wonders what to do when a member uses the forum to push some barrow which is off topic. The templates too are a great gift to any busy admin who know she or he needs something like the guidelines document but does not know where to start and needs something which can be adapted without infringing anyone's copyright.

Wow, Mr. Walsh, thank you so much for looking at the book in such detail. I am really happy that you liked it and I thank you for the kind words. They mean a lot to me.

I appreciate the criticisms, as well, and will take them to heart in consideration of future improvements. The book was copy edited pretty aggressively, so I take responsibility for any grammatical miscues. Hopefully, they are fairly far in between!

Thanks again for your time. I really appreciate it.
