		<description>Hello, Des:

Thank you for the mention and for the pointer to visualcv...very interesting. I&#039;ve been thinking about the development of an application which provides people with an on-line platform. Virtualcv seems to be a good option...I&#039;ll take a closer look.

Thank you again...I&#039;ve subscribed to your blog...looking forward to more posts.

		<description>Des,
As a former pharmaceutical sales director, I’ve come across a lot of resumes, both good and bad. Surprisingly, what you read on paper does not always reflect what you see in an interview. A visual CV may be one way of addressing this challenge but there are other technologies that can help as well. Companies and recruiters can now utilize webcam technology to screen candidates. This is generally an employer/recruiter driven system and it gives the candidate the chance to answer job specific or industry specific questions. Best of all, a candidate can do it from their home computer at a time that is convenient for them. It’s just one more opportunity for candidates to show their skills sets to a potential employer, which may not be possible if they have a weak résumé.

<description>Hi Des, thanks for the post about VisualCV.com. Your readers can find lots of real-world examples of VisualCVs at http://www.visualcv.com/examples. There&#039;s ~100 different volunteer samples from the community - from college grads to mid-career professionals to C-level executives. There are also several examples from the creative arts - like graphic designers, artists, and photographers, where the &quot;visual&quot; portfolio aspect of a VisualCV really pays off in spades. You have to register (free) to see the examples.
